P. R. Sakar describes eight occult powers (vibhutis) in yoga.
The possession of these is one (of six) marks Taraka Brahma,
Bhagavana (he of the six bhagas).
Anima. The ability to become very small.
Mahima. The ability to become great.
Laghima. The ability to become light, or be
anywhere in the universe. This comes from controlling a
psychic center between the manipura and anahata chakras
(fire and air).
Iishitva. The ability to understand all
entities in the universe, to direct and witness their
actions. This comes from controlling the upper portion
of the vishuddha cakra.
Prakamyam. The ability to take the form of
anything. This comes from controlling a psychic center
just below the ajina chakra.
Vashitva. The ability to control forces and
to create new life.This comes from controlling the upper
portion of the ajina cakra.
Prapti. The ability to get or create what is
desired; immediate materialization of thoughts.
Antarayamitva. The ability to see the inner
nature of any entity.
